Fishing Report: Doris is considered a good producer of Rainbows and Cutthroat in the 2 lb. class. Flies work especially well in this lake, while trolling with various lures such as flatfish, spoons and spinners may pay big dividends with the larger Lake Char which also inhabit Doris. While staying at Doris Lake, one must not miss the opportunity to fish nearby Babine Lake for some unforgettable fishing experiences.
Be sure to visit Fishbc.com for angling information!

Nearby Lakes

Other nearby lakes which offer very good fishing (some of which are featured lakes in this program) include Chapman, Babine, and Fulton. Fulton Lake lies just southeast of Doris and contains good numbers of Rainbows, Cutthroat and Lake Char. Campsites and a boat launch are available on the lake. Boomerang, Tanglechain, Pine Tree, Marin, and Torkelsen are all lakes that can easily be reached from Doris Lake and are worth investigating while staying in the Doris Lake area. A quick trip to the Fisheries branch or any one of many excellent sporting goods stores in the town of Smithers should furnish you with up to date angling information on these lakes.

Note: Always check your current BC Fishing regulations before you start fishing a new lake.
